I hit the family jackpot.

Hi, I’m Yang and I live in the Atlanta suburbs with my husband Brian and our three kids Ellie (6), Sophie (3.5) and Aaron (15 months). They’re pretty great, but my luck started long before them when I was born to incredible parents some 30+ years ago, and was joined by my dear brother a couple years later. I really did hit the family jackpot and I thank my lucky stars for my great fortune. Now I just need this good juju to rub off on the actual lottery.

why the name Familyy Fortune?

A very long time ago, I had a blog by the name of fortune goodies, where I would post recipes (butter and sugar almost always topped the ingredient list), travel guides and anything else that came to mind. I loved that blog. It kept me sane as I juggled a demanding day job in tv news and business school at night, and somehow made life in my tiny Dupont Circle studio apartment feel just a little bit larger. Somewhere along the way, I outgrew it, and in a rather irresponsible move on my part (I ignored one too many hosting renewal emails when on maternity leave with Ellie), let all traces of it disappear from the internet - whoops. The name Familyy Fortune is a nod to that first blog. The double Y is after yours truly - a girl so nice they named her twice ;).
